L' ICJB  se bat pour que le site soit décontaminé  par Dow Chemical, actuel
propriétaire de Union Carbide, en appliquant le principe de "pollueur-payeur".
Pendant  que  des  organisations internationales ne cessent de faire pression
sur la multinationale,  dans le but d' enrayer  ses  investissements  en Inde,
encouragés par l'Etat indien lui-même.
Enfin, l'extradition et le jugement de Warren Anderson, président de Union
Carbide au moment du drame, représenterait un signal fort quant à la res-
ponsabilité des entreprises à travers le monde.

The ICJB is fighting to for the application of the “polluter-pays”  principle,
according to which Dow Chemical,  as the current owner of Union Carbide,
is held accountable for decontaminating the factory site.   This alliance of
local and international organizations is  currently  trying  to  block  Dow’s
investments in India,  which  is  currently being encouraged by the Indian
state.  Finally,  they  are  demanding  the  extradition and prosecution of
Warren Anderson,  president of Union Carbide at the time of the disaster,
which would send a strong signal around the world, insisting on responsible
business practices.
